Virus & Malware Removal Perth

If your computer is covered in pop-ups, your browser keeps redirecting, or someone has phoned claiming to be from Microsoft and asked you to install something — stop using the machine for banking and call us. We remove malware properly, work out how it got in, and close that door behind it.

What We Fix

Pop-Ups, Redirects and Browser Hijacks

Adware and browser hijackers are the most common infections we see. They are rarely dangerous in themselves, but they are a symptom that something got past your defences, and they often arrive bundled with other things worth removing.

Ransomware and Encrypted Files

Ransomware encrypts your files and demands payment. Whether the files can be recovered depends on the variant and on whether you have a backup — and we will be straight with you about that rather than raising false hope. What we can always do is remove the infection and make sure it is not still running.

“Microsoft Support” Scam Cleanup

If you let a cold caller connect to your computer, assume they installed remote access software and saw anything on screen. We remove what they left behind, and help you work out which passwords and accounts need changing. This is more common in Perth than most people realise, and it is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Securing It Afterwards

Removal is only half the job. We check what protection you are actually running, make sure Windows and your browser are up to date, and set up something that will catch the next attempt — so you are not back in three months.

A Clean Machine, Not Just a Green Tick

Running a scanner and declaring the job done is easy and often wrong. We check what is set to start with the machine, what has been added to the browser, and whether anything has been left behind with remote access. If the infection has reached a point where a clean reinstall is genuinely the safer option, we will say so rather than charging you to chase it.

What Our Customers Say

Where We Work

We cover Clarkson, Butler and Merriwa, Joondalup and Edgewater, Wanneroo and Banksia Grove and Mindarie and Quinns Rocks, plus the surrounding northern suburbs. We come to you at home or on site, with a $150 call-out that includes the first hour. You can also arrange to drop a device off with us — by appointment only, so please call first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I keep using the computer?

Avoid internet banking, shopping and anything involving passwords until it is cleaned. If you have already logged into accounts since the problem started, change those passwords from a different device.

Can you get my files back after ransomware?

Sometimes, but not always, and anyone promising otherwise is not being honest with you. It depends on the variant and whether you have a backup. We will assess it and tell you what is realistically possible before you spend anything.

I let someone remote into my computer. What now?

Disconnect it from the internet and call us. Assume the passwords you have typed on that machine are compromised. If you gave out bank details, call your bank now — that matters more than the computer does.

Will I lose my files during virus removal?

Usually not. Removal is designed to leave your documents intact. We will still recommend a backup first, because a compromised machine is not a stable one.

How do I stop it happening again?

Keep Windows and your browser updated, use proper protection rather than whatever expired two years ago, and be sceptical of anyone who phones you about your computer. We will set the first two up while it is with us.
